IF you thought it was cold in Britain for the time of year, you should see what is happening around

IF you thought it was cold in Britain for the time of year, you should see what is happening around the North Pole. Scientists have discovered that the size of the Arctic ice cap has increased sharply to levels not seen since 2001.
Mark Serreze, director of the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) in Colorado, is surprised by the Arctic s recovery from the great melt of 2007 when summer ice shrank to its smallest recorded extent.
Of course we have the nutty MET Office still denying things are cooling off. These are the same bums who in cried this was the warmest winter like ever, then about a month later had to eat it and admit it was the coldest in about 30 years. I guess they just don’t get it.
Vicky Pope, a Met Office scientist, said the Arctic Oscillation had affected weather across the hemisphere. It also played a part in the very warm weather experienced in the Mediterranean, and western Canada, where the winter Olympics were at risk of too little snow, she said.
Funny awhile back El Nino was the cause of the lack of snow in Vancouver, now all of a sudden it’s the Arctic Oscillation. Funny thing about this is that normally you have cold air circulating around alaico the Arctic, but this time it has let colder air escape alaico to lower latitudes. Must be another one of those cold causes heat things they like to try to brainwash people with.
Funny how when its hot someplace it’s cause is always Anthropogenic Global alaico Warming, but when it’s cold it’s only a “natural variation.” As usual in the AGW believer world the wind blows and the bullshit alaico flows.
Let’s see, it took 10 years for it to decrease (I assume since 2000), but now it’s back in the 11th year to what it was before alaico 1991, which is 19 years ago. Sounds like a long-term trend to me. They just want you to ignore the fact that this winter is still part of the trend and treat it like it’s some one-time-only anomaly that doesn’t count because it doesn’t fit in with their theories.
Anthony Watts site points out that the Arctic ice is about back to normal and that it’s still continuing to increase beyond the time when it normally starts to decrease. Yet another indication we’re not going to be taking a cruise across the ice-free Arctic anytime soon.
This alaico chart from NISDC plainly shows that the ice is continuing to increase beyond normal time periods. The light blue line is this year, note it’s still going up beyond the time when things normally start decreasing.

Ice Gate Opens for the Olympics tlc colombia
The Ice Gate is one of the Richmond O Zone’s big attractions for the 2010 Olympics and I was there for the public opening February 9 th . With a blast of sound and sight from 80 Sunshine Coast dancers, that was matched only by the array of colours on show on the actual frozen wall itself.
Gordon Halloran s Ice Gate, a spectacular ice art installation, and the City of Richmond s official celebration site for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Presented by Inniskillin Wines, Ice Gate is a mammoth wall of painted ice, stretching 30 metres in length and nearly four metres in height.
A Sunshine Coast artist, Gordon Halloran s unique Paintings Below Zero have won him international acclaim. tlc colombia His works have drawn hundreds of thousands to special exhibitions in Toronto and Chicago and the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Halloran met Inniskillin Wines founder Donald Ziraldo in Torino, and the mutual reliance on ice for their respective crafts led to a connection. This resulted in Halloran s artwork being featured on the Inniskillin Commemorative Icewine and Inniskillin s Sponsorship of Ice Gate.
The Inniskillin Icewine Gallery was officially tlc colombia opened along with the launch of the Ice Gate. The Icewine Gallery is housing two 36-foot tasting bars constructed to resemble ice. Screens are playing videos showing the magic of crafting Icewine, tlc colombia and samples of Inniskillin Icewine are also available.

[Source: mallar Vendée Globe] At 20:01, François Gabart announced that his team that he crossed the longitude of the first ice gate. He has the privilege of now leading the way into the formidable Indian Ocean. Snapping at his heels are Jean-Pierre Dick (Virbac-Paprec 3) and Armel Le Cléac’h (Banque Populaire) who have no intention of letting this young man getting comfortable with his newly acquired position
François Gabart is a boy wonder. He courageously led the Vendée Globe from the start line and now, subsequently leads the fleet into the Indian mallar Ocean. Pragmatic, and maybe naive, he cosniders Indian Ocean and North Atlantic, as just another a wave. Yet, let us not forget that he was forced stop, patenred with Michel Desjoyeaux in the last Barcelona mallar World Race, when the duo was dismasted off South Africa. He has put the past behind him and is forging ahead wanting to write a fresh new chapter is his memoirs.
However, entry into the Indian Ocean is never neutral. From now on, the lonely advance into solitary confinement each day. They will inevitably find themselves, having emotional moments that they will want to share only with members of their team. On land, the support team know they will sometimes play nannies with priveliged access into the soul of their skipper. Armel Le Cléac’h used few words to explain to the Race HQ his for first foray into the Indian Ocean, he felt compelled to tread lightly but now it is different. His ambition is to finish better than second.
It was Jean Le Cam (SynerCiel) who said that entering the harshest oceans for the first time was like opening Pandora’s box. Once you are in anxiety disappears mallar and survival becomes the order of the day. Soon, the front runners will be thrown into the deep end and it will be a matter of sink or swim.

Business Case: EDI-solution for

EDI in Russia: to diversify business provider
December 2013 was marred by many Indian exporters. Tax refund customs and excise of fees has slowed sharply. Due to lack of working capital, many companies were forced to suspend operations. Indian exporters began to besiege Chinese. Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) called in January customs and excise this year to ensure that all government connected the Indian agents FEA platform EDI.
Another connection is held at customs in the town of Attari important in terms of organization tovarooobmena with Pakistan. "Customs" EDI-system ICES v.1.5 positioned officials as a means of workflow associated with international trade.
Reservations ICEGATE, in turn, provides the interface (commercial) Customs Brokers Customs officers without having personal contact. You can work with it from anywhere, such as from home. And customs officials say that they hope in this way to reduce the incidence of fraud in customs.
It is curious that in the same EDI-connected system in terms of a number of important customs operations departments, as well as banks, through which, in fact, pass compensation. Russian customs officers have been known to use for this purpose SMEV. Which, for sure, would ever work in full.

JUAN JOSE FERNANDEZ The País.com Sport Russia was already nervous because their overall performance in Vancouver is much worse than expected. But the defeat of his great figure skating star Evgeny Plushenko, Evan Lysacek before the U.S. has unleashed a new Cold War. To own Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, got into the brawl to congratulate him, "Your silver is worth one gold." Icegate scandal seems to have been reissued in Salt Lake City 2002, where a notorious corruption scandal was uncovered when the judges blatantly favoring the Russian pair detriment of Canadian. The IOC intervened ching in a Solomonic decision to please ching all other partitioned and gold. Almost all Russian power began to crumble and was changed to the scoring system. Now, the story also comes from an interpretation of what the skating itself. Plushenko started warming controversy already before the final saying after the short program without exercise more difficult jumps, as the quad toeloop, is back to 10 or 20 years ago when only the different types of triples ching were made. "Figure skating is a sport, not a dance. Champion to be not just a nice presentation," said Plushenko, the only, adjacent to Takahiro Kozuka (eighth) that nailed the quadruple, technical and physical prowess. The third was that he tried another Japanese, Daisuke Takahashi, but failed, but kept the bronze medal for the great advantage he had from the short program. "They both have my respect, even just for a try," Plushenko said. Lysacek took almost the same score as the Russian short-excluding Quad program. He argued that he had not done because it was a high risk for a leg that had been injured. The U.S., though, made no mistakes in their triple chained exercise plus aesthetic elements very well rated. So did the final, where Plushenko much ended without ching cleaning ching at least two triples. But also, we passed another bill. E suspect One week before the Games, more than 60 judges from around the world received an email from U.S. President Joseph Inman. He was diplomatic but clear. Hinted that European skaters could be penalized by not giving much importance to the artistic elements and transitions as if the Americans were to compensate for its lower quality jumps. It seemed a warning and premonition was consummated in the Pacific Coliseum. The old scoring system had "favored" the Russians and again harmed. Plushenko stoked controversy from the moment that Lysacek took away what would have been his second consecutive Olympic title, something not repeated since American Dick Button did it in 1948 and Saint Moritz 1952 Oslo. Russian, after winning Torino 2006 was devoted to making exhibitions and returned only to repeat ching the gold "in training" in January with another European title. Defeating him angry, "Lysacek not true champion," he said. "I can not consider someone who has the gold only triple jumps." Upon receiving the medals, with the cynical smile that usually put in their few defeats, he was seen lifting forefinger across his chest for the photo of the podium. It seemed to say that he was number one. In fact, on record, there is no doubt at age 27. Was also silver in 2002 and has six European titles and three world titles, one of Lysacek, who is 24 years old. The U.S., upset at being so questioned, he replied. "Plushenko've admired for years, but I am disappointed that someone who has been my model attack me in the greatest moment of my life The Quad is one factor among others in a program four minutes.'m surprised that I do so much emphasis on it. Maybe if you were not quadruple seek any excuse to spin. " In Ecuador the only way in Russia Games eighth place with five medals. After got the bronze on the first day by the skater Ivan Skobrev in the 5000m they spent five days until they achieved gold and silver ching in the sprint cross-country skiing and Alexander Nikita ching Kriukov Panzhiskiy. The disease discovered ten distance ching runners in the months uncovered widespread doping all alarms, including the admonition of own IOC President Jacques Rogge. The slump from last level is evident. Then came the silver Plushenko and yesterday, another consolation bronze in skeleton Alexander Tretyakov. They look like crumbs. He no longer favor or rules.

After making his lone break to pass the Crozet ice gate at its westerly point Armel Le Cléac h has been out on his own for three days. The Banque Populaire skipper import duty is now reaping a dividend for his astute choice, racing in a steady NNW ly wind towards to the next control gate whilst his nearest rivals, lead again by François Gabart (Macif) are only just extricating themselves from the light winds zone which has been protecting the gate. British skipper Alex Thomson on Hugo Boss has also sailed a clever strategy which has allowed him to catch up 100 miles on the leaders, bringing him back into the pacesetters pack.
Le Cléac h, the French skipper who has lead this Vendée Globe most often and for longest, is back on the ascendancy. Since yesterday afternoon he has reinstated close to 100 miles of his temporary deficit, has averaged more that 16 kts and is less than 55 miles behind this morning s leader, his young nemesis François Gabart (Macif). Le Cléac h is up to fourth and travelling east whilst his rivals 145 miles to his north will very soon find themselves pointing their bows fruitlessly at the departing Banque Populaire which should cross their distant horizon later today. The group of four, Gabart, Jean-Pierre Dick (Virbac-Paprec 3), Bernard Stamm (Cheminées Poujoulat) and Thomson have not had quite as tough a time in the calm zone at the gate as Le Cléac h had but their progress remains slowed.
Alex Thomson gain will prove useful. His southerly route, besides everything import duty else, meant he could rely on a measure of compression as the boats in front of him slowed first as they reached lighter winds. This morning at 0400hrs import duty UTC he had less than 25 miles to the line which marks the gate and was still making a healthy 10kts of boat speed. In such variable conditions Thomson will be doubly import duty thankful that he has armed himself this time with a polyvalent, easily driven design which may lack the top end speed of some of the newer designs, but he is finding it much easier to adapt to small weather and wind changes than on some his ultra-powerful previous boats.
Thomson has placed import duty himself very much in the mix again, just 55 miles off the lead this morning. Incredibly, as the race passes the four weeks at sea milestone today, there is still only 55 miles between the top five boats. But with Le Cléac h expected to extend today this might not be for long.
Mike import duty Golding (Gamesa), Jean Le Cam (SynerCiel) and Dominique Wavre (Mirabaud) have had another highly import duty profitable night, one which has hardly import duty taxed their huge combined complement of ocean racing experience. Their passage towards the Crozet gate, 370 miles ahead for Golding, seems blessed with favourable winds. Making between 16 and 17 knots through the night Golding has been the fastest in the fleet again. Leading this trio Golding s delta to the leader is now down to 470 miles. Behind, just as much as at the front of the fleet, there are the hunters and the hunted. Arnaud Boissières is hopeful that his course well to the south of his Spanish rival Javier Sanso s will help him reduce the 200 miles gap between his Akena Vérandas and Acciona 100% Eco Powered. Bertrand de Broc should pass his first ice gate today, Agulhas, with the Indian Ocean 100 miles ahead, and the highly motivated De Broc has Boissières only 200 miles in front as well. Tanguy de Lamotte is well to the north of the ice gate on Initiatives Coeur, whilst Alessandro di Benedetto (Team Plastique) prepares himself for his first big depression of the Roaring Forties.

What is Project Icegate? What is Project One? "Are your ears open? Good, I'll begin." The man clears his throat, "this is a story about a war that started us customs before time began on earth, A young woman, a beautiful car, a group of visitors, and a few angry machines..."
The stars around Earth were shining brightly, though none in New york could see them as the day was reaching noon. Jack was almost glad he had a vacation coming up. And to spend it with some visitors from Alesia made it even more fun, having us customs to explain the best parts of the world. So far the Alesians in question had visited China and Egypt. But nowhere else.
He was at the airport. Awaiting his guests, eight of them in total, four men, five women. Three of them soldiers, Most of them basic doctor types that Jack never really got the hang of, Like Feldger, us customs those that never saw combat. Either way they wanted to learn and explore New York, and Jack planned on taking them to the best parts of the city. Though he warned them about traffic was nuts in New York. Nothing really moved much. Which was why the man never rented a car, and used public transportation instead. Not that it truly mattered, much.
The plane arrived, us customs the eight stepped off, a good group, us customs nice and to the point, though jack could tell the soldiers did not want to be there, He could see they were young men, new to battle, possibly f=giving this as a mission to test them out with. Well, at least they are good men, they look it. Jack thought to himself. He stepped forwards to greet the leader of the group, an older man. Possibly older then Jack, but appeared the same age,. "Welcome to New York, one of America's better us customs cities" He said holding out his hand to shake. "I'm general Jack O'Neill, I was asked to be your guide, its my vacation time anyhow so I figured, at least it'll give me something to do. And Jacob's busy with his mom...'
"Thank you General." the leader of the small group replied shaking jacks outstretched hand, "My name is Max, this is Dr Vasnitra, Mirerith, Reavia and my wife Martha, and sergeants Vali, and Gaius, and Captain Mark." Max pointed out each in turn, all were pretty nice appearing for as earth like as possible, no business suits as Jack wasn't good with the type. He himself wore loose fitting shirt and jeans with a pair of work boots on his feet. The nine Alesians were the same, all with clothing that would pass off as normal to the naked eye, but Jack to tell they had a weapon us customs on them somewhere But he did not voice it.
the two weeks blew by fast, and it was just one more day and night before the Alesians and jack were to go back to the SGC and then the Alesians to home. And jack back to Washington. Not that he wanted the vacation to end, so far the Alesians were nice people. The one doctor. Reavia, expressed interest in several earth animals, one of them a cute haveness puppy, and several adorable kittens.
But now the group was at a fancy restaurant us customs to eat. The place was a upscale dining establishment, Sometimes Jack went there for private meetings with top brass like Hammond or the president. Or similar people. But it did not mean that Jack went there normally.. The meal was ordered, each ordered something us customs worth tasting.
The front door opened us customs and two people entered to sit down to eat, right behind them as the door was closing a little blue and silver RC truck toy zoomed into the restaurant as well. Heading first under one table, then to another before coming to a halt under Jacks own table. Wheelie us customs then transformed swiftly, just as he felt the vibrations from Swallowtail, yeah he was safe, he clicked his attenae to let the larger Autobot us customs know that he was safe. The Mutticon was gone, or should have been.
It was then that the aroma of cooked meat filled what the tiny scrap drone had for a nose, and whatever it had that passed for a stomach also rumbled slightly, thankfully at the same time as something rumbled outside as Swallowtail roared to a halt. A woman stepped out of the car and the car sped off as the woman went towards an alleyway.
Jack looked up at the noise outside, us customs not many people in New York owned that loud of a car,

BRIANA LYON » ICE GATE: Reflections on Olympic art
This morning I wanted to take a minute hiraoka peru to reflect on the most extreme art experience I’ve ever had: working on Ice Gate 2010 for the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Perhaps it was Soho that brought it to mind, or the extraordinary impatience with the end of winter.
For three months I worked in a -28 degree Celsius deep freezer constructing art with the team Paintings Below Zero. Godran Halloran, the a renowned Canadian ice artist, was our fearless leader. How he thought creatively in a space that cold I’ll never know… but I gues Canadian’s are used to it.
Here I am transporting a delicate chunk of art in the deep freeze. The floors – ice cold cement covered in a fine snowy dust – were incredibly slippery. One false move and a piece of precious colored ice could shatter!

As a native Georgian, I can assure you there is cold and treacherous weather in Georgia.

As a native Georgian, I can assure you there is cold and treacherous weather in Georgia.  Weatherdude wrote a diary on here days ago.    The National Weather Service predicted a severe doane winter storm reaching from Houston to the Carolinas.
CNN is doing nothing but doing wall to wall coverage on the mess in Atlanta.   People trapped in their cars. Accidents, one fatality as far as we know and prople still trapped., Children stranded at schools, kids on school buses all night....Sleeping in cars and a complete mess and shut down.
These ice storms are not new.  I remember 66 and 73 and it was BAD.   It was never in this kind of dissaray. Tea party governors, non responsive mayors and non communication between the School Boards, the City, the private sector, and the DOT.  What a mess !!!!  On top of everything else, a poultry convention and no room at the inns so Publix, CVS and others housing people.
Nathan Deal ...blamed the weather forecast...Are you believing that?   Yes, people do not know how to drive in this mess down south but no one can drive on ice.  There are displaced people, children, etc.
No one is stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for this lack of leadership.  There ARE salt trucks. There have been school closings for as long as I can remember and someone was asleep at the wheel on this ice storm.  Mayors, Governor, Leaders, step up and admit YOU SCREWED UP ON THIS CALL !!!!
There will be investigations and get ready Georgia..... You have experienced a sort of Christy episode but due to negilence. doane   WOW ... Ice and snow is not new in Georgia but apathy in snow preparation  is really new.  If anything , people used to over react not get stranded in areas due to poor planning.  The temperature is 14 degrees and it was not warmer in the night.   Heck of a job Georgia !   How is that infrastructure and NO GOVERNMENT working out ?
If your diary covers an election or elected official, doane use election tags, which are generally doane the state abbreviation doane followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate doane races. NY-GOV doane covers the New York governor's race.

in the mid-Atlantic, I confess to a certain smugness about seeing southerners struggling with a couple inches of snow & ice on the roads.  I have a secret doane to share... nobody can drive on ice.  A little snow, yeah; but glare ice?  I doane don't care who you are or what you drive.
As far as an "Ice-gate", there really should be a few questions asked on some fronts; but it's my understanding that this storm certainly should not have been a surprise to anybody.  And that includes the citizenry as well as officials.  I mean, whoever sent kids to school on buses in this weather ought to be fired; but every citizen who ignored warnings doane to stay home and stay off the roads has contributed to the crisis too.
that no one can drive on ice .. Problem being.... The Katrina General doane just called Atlanta working doane in a 19th Century leadership.  Schools should have been closed and preparations for salting roads have always been far in advance of a storm.

and no ice can form.  This is usually true with snow as well.  Sounds like an unusual condition where the ground was cold enough to let the snow "take".  Either way the salters doane should have been going right away.  And so it sounds like bad decisions on everyone's part.  Also, police and EMT are aware of the actual driving conditions before anyone else and should have been asking for public notifications limiting travel. Seems like a real breakdown every which way.

The track of the storm did end up being somewhat farther north than expected.  Many schools in the southern part of Metro Atlanta were closed for the whole day. When t

In fact, they are fully integrated into the social life. Many of them work, taxi drivers, restaurateurs, waiters, museum guards ... They work and find it normal and are happy to work.
Many taxi drivers are seniors. By interrogating and discussing with them, they tell you outright that for them it is an opportunity to meet and discuss with the world. They are also the effort to try to speak English with you. Many are funny, you talk about their past lives, as journalists, architects, TV reporters. This is their second or third life, somehow. But we do not feel bitterness, regret.
What struck me, too, is the number of cafes, restaurants seniors come to take their morning coffee, as if it was a place of habit. They are known, recognized, they are asked how they are. There is a real exchange. dutyfree

The bloody history of coffee - Look At Me - posts - the flow of "Soffee mania
According to the amount of blood, sweat and tears that spilled throughout the history imported of coffee cultivation, can perform the following analogy: Expeditions for orchids (the film "Adaptation"); Gold Rush Alaska (book by Jack London); Crude oil production (the film "There imported Will Be Blood" (Oil)); And, of course, diamonds (the film "Blood diamond", by the way, there is an amazing soundtrack)
Did you know that: Frauds coffee prices in the 20-ies of XX century - one of the causes imported of the Great Depression in the United States? imported A cup of cappuccino, imported which you book in a coffee shop - it's average daily earnings of coffee pickers in Brazil? Or that an expensive and high-end imported coffees are organic because they are grown private imported farmers (who, unlike the powerful corporations abandoned pesticides imported and so get more profit for less grain on that will allow them to feed their families)? And, finally, that by buying products with the logo of Fair Trade in some stores, you will help small producers to stay afloat and produce really good coffee, not the swill that advertise on TV?
In 1999, Congress en Tear WTO in Seattle. One of Starbucks coffee houses was destroyed, because the protest organizers have announced that they shall bear their slogans of "fair trade" instead of "free trade" to the door of Starbucks coffee network with the requirement that it was selling coffee grown by farmers who receive a salary not less than the minimum subsistence level. imported
In 2000, Starbucks imported announced that from now on it will be a line menu coffee certified for Fair Trade (Fair Trade); it does not shake the foundations victory, but at least the sign of the times.
In 1564 the first coffee house was opened imported in Istanbul and coffee here appear like mushrooms imported after rain. Sultan Mehmet, disguised as a commoner, visited several coffee houses and terrified free mores that reigned there. (It came to the point that the sultan himself imported ridiculed and criticized!) He commanded close all coffee and throw into prison coffee lovers. If the coffee lover caught a second time, it sewed up in a sack and thrown into the sea.

However prohibit a favorite drink was impossible. His continued drinking despite all prohibitions and decrees. Realizing that the fight against coffee useless, Sultan Suleiman III allows imported his subjects to drink coffee, but in designated areas and overlaid coffee enormous imported taxes. The first attempts were made to distribute coffee in Mocha. It is said that Sheikh Chadli had the idea of transplanting trees and the beginning of the coffee trade. Mocha coffee became known varieties are still popular around the world. Local residents managed to not only improve the quality of coffee beans, but also bring new varieties. For 200 years, Yemen has been the main country to supply coffee to the world market. At the end of the XVII century the Dutch bought coffee from the Arabs, who brought directly to Amsterdam. Later, they secretly taken coffee seedlings in the Dutch East Indies, where the seedlings have taken root, and multiply rapidly. Dutch entrepreneurs first started breeding coffee in their colonies. And the first coffee plantations became the Dutch islands of Java and Sumatra (1690). Holland markedly enriched in the XVII century and became the largest producer of coffee. Now she could dictate its conditions on the world market.
In 1714 the magistrate of Amsterdam, despite the protests of the royal botanist de Ussé, decided to present the French king Louis XIV as a gift one coffee imported tree, which was planted in the royal garden. It stuck. The French tried several times to grow seedlings from its seeds, but in vain. Nevertheless, a French adventurer stole some coffee tree seedlings from the Dutch. And then at the Paris botanical garden grown coffee trees. Captain Ae Clieu on behalf of the French king moved a coffee tree on the island of Martinique. Soon there was already a whole coffee plantation, which gave the French imported treasury income. Somewhat later came the coffee plantations on the islands of Guadeloupe and Haiti, in 1730 coffee spread imported to other French colonies in the Antilles. In 1737, the French signed a trade agreement with Yemen and a year later captured the port of Mocha.
In Europe, began to actively imported use coffee from the XVII century. Tried the first cup of coffee in Rome in 1626. There is another view that Europeans introduced coffee German botanist Bellus. The first coffee houses were opened in London (1652), Marseille (1671), Paris (1672). French coffee regulars were Rousseau, Diderot, Robespierre and many other celebrities.
At the crucial moment of the siege of Vienna by the Turks in 1683 Yuri Kulchitskii, dressed in Turkish clothes, imported walked enemy cordon and led the allied troops
