More than Foursquare then. There was also mention of the school anti-languages Quora. Well, as I said at the time I only trysto any platform with the same linguistic policy and Generalísimo Franco.
I'm starting to lose interest in platforms under companies 'heavy' for example. A lot feels like top-down control. If there are not too many arbitrary what is fair trade rules, I'm what is fair trade leaving. While some people do not express the Welsh words with the same problems, they are sensitive to the weaknesses as Rhodri says about place names etc.. And I assume that the story is similar in other languages.
I'm quite happy to pay my platform with data and even 'work for free' to them if I get the value back. If you Facebook account or any free service you agree. You're happy to see the latest pictures your friends and chat in exchange, you offer your data.
The freedom to leave. Can you export your content what is fair trade to another service what is fair trade Foursquare or Quora, your blog or local file? I'm not thinking. what is fair trade 'Corporate blogging silos' as is Dave Winer says.
On platforms like YouTube or Twitter reoliaeth a bit of light (outside of copyright problems) but it feels like a little more freedom. We can forget the attendance of the company to focus on the conversation / content. WordPress.com and some of the services Google what is fair trade is good at exporting your stuff. See Google's Data Liberation Front.
Of course there is a lot of stuff falls under the category of digital media, not just Facebook, Twitter not even YouTube, Flickr etc ... One ideal future: more control in the Welsh community of more things like adolygiad.com (on steroids), independent blogs, independent platforms, projects like Diaspora social network that is not offered at all but social fabric. You do not have to be a coder to benefit from freedom.
