Incoterms 2010: FAS (Free Alongside Ship) | Import from China
Today's entry was devoted to explaining the Incoterm FAS (Free alonside Ship). In this case the responsibility and cost of end when seller delivers mallar goods to the quay alongside the ship and from there is the buyer who is responsible for any damage to the goods and takes care of the costs. mallar
This term is used exclusively for transport by ship, either by sea or inland waterways and is suitable for bulk cargoes and bulky loads since the springs can fund specific to this type of load.
To end this post, let's specify what made each one of the participants of an international sale, the buyer and seller, with an example, imagine you buy a product from China and the term used in this operation is the FAS. The seller will prepare the goods China and arrange inland transport in China until it was in the dock alongside the ship, from there the buyer will be responsible for vessel loading, international transport and inland transport in the country of employment to their establishments. Each one will realize the customs formalities that apply as an exporter and importer.
